A Guide To Taking Your Dream Disney Cruise!

A Guide To Taking Your Dream Disney Cruise! [disney world dream]
Experiencing the magic of Disney at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort
Paris is something that is rarely forgotten as a child or as an adult. With a Disney cruise, you can
now recapture that magic on board one of Disney's elite cruise ships.

There are several exotic Caribbean cruise routes to choose from, and with a spread of onboard entertainment
for all the family it is a cruise that will live long in the memory of the young and the young at heart.

All Disney cruises depart from Port Canaveral in Florida through Disney Cruise Lines, and take
guests out on a voyage of the Caribbean. Short 3-night cruises are catered for as well as 7 night
cruises that encompass a larger number of ports around the Western Caribbean and Eastern Caribbean.

A typical three or four night Disney cruise takes guests out into the Bahamas, and includes a visit to
the sun-drenched beaches of Nassau. Shore excursions include a magical tour to the Discover Atlantis
attraction, which is home to more than 120,000 fish.
[disney world dream]

A 7-night Western Caribbean Disney cruise adds Key West, Grand Cayman and the island of Cozumel
near Mexico to the list of port stops.

At each location a huge variety of shore excursions are offered for
both adults and kids.

On a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Disney cruise, the Bahamas, and the islands of St Maarten

and St Thomas
are incorporated into the itinerary. Again, just as with the Western Caribbean Disney cruise you will
have a choice of many excellent excursion options too. But, no matter which cruise route you choose
there is one common port of call - Castaway Island.

Castaway Island is Disney's own private island. It is located near the island of Abacco at the northern
end of the Bahamas, and is a true Never Land.

Here you can explore paradise - secluded white sandy [disney world dream]
beaches, warm shallow waters and coconut-laden palm tree groves await, along with a whole host of
exciting activities.

You can try your hand at snorkeling while on the island, or go on a kayak nature adventure. The glass-bottomed
boat tour is sure worth an hour and a half of your time on the island too.

Of course, as you would expect from a corporation like Disney, sumptuous catering is on offer on the
island and on board the cruise vessel at all times. Days at sea are a pleasure too with so many activities
to keep adults and kids entertained for weeks!

And, when you're done watching one of Disney's original stage shows, taking your kids to meet Snow White or
enjoying a spot of wine tasting (adults only!), you can kick back in the luxurious surroundings of your cabin
or relax on the pool deck and soak up some glorious Caribbean sunshine....

Comcast Hostile Takeover Bid Is Deja Vu For Former Disney Executive Turned Author

Comcast Hostile Takeover Bid Is Deja Vu For Former Disney Executive Turned Author [disney world fun]
Orlando, FA (ContentDesk) February 17, 2004--In his writer's den in Central Florida, Larry Pontius is shaking his head. As a former Disney marketing executive and author of the award winning speculative thriller, Waking Walt, he can't help but smile. After six years writing the book and another three fighting to get it published in the face of agent and publisher concerns over possible Disney legal action, his phone is ringing off the hook. It's the media calling.Reporters and producers from television stations, cable news networks newspapers, and major business magazines in the US as well as the UK have requested copies of Waking Walt."Someone jokingly asked me if I was Nostradamus," Pontius said. "But I was as surprised as anyone when Comcast announced their takeover bid for Disney.
[disney world fun]

For me, it's fiction turning into fact. Of course, I'm sure the motives are different from those in my novel. And the ending will have to be, although I wish it didn't."In Waking Walt, Pontius brings to life one of our most enduring legends: Walt Disney never died, but is somewhere out there in cryonic suspension waiting to come back when his lung cancer can be cured. And as the title suggests, in the Pontius thriller Walt is awakened in a desperate attempt to save his company

from a ruthless corporate raider bent on tearing it apart. In the process of promoting Waking Walt, months before the Comcast situation, Pontius became a contributing columnist on several Disney related Internet sites including the popular Jim Hill Media.com, Mickey News.com and Magical Mountain.net. His column "What Would Walt Think?" has often skewered the Disney Company for failings that many analysts are now saying led to the vulnerability which encouraged Comcast to launch its takeover bid.Interviewed by a reporter from the Orlando ABC Television affiliate, WFTV-TV, Pontius was asked what his primary concern was should Comcast succeed in their bid for Disney.[disney world fun]

"I worry about losing the Disney legacy" Pontius said. "The creative excellence and adherence to a set of values that has made Disney the greatest family entertainment company in the world. If Comcast buys Disney and turns it into something else, the world has lost something special. That would be a bad investment."Waking Walt can be purchased online from Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Booksamillion.com, and is available at virtually any bookstore. Walt Disney Announced To Support The Blu-ray Disc Format

Walt Disney Announced To Support The Blu-ray Disc Format [disney world fun]
The beginning of this December, the major film company Walt Disney announced its intention to start releasing movies and other content on Blu-ray discs in North America, as soon as the new-format players become available there.Walt Disney has a market share of 17.2 of Hollywood's prepackaged DVD sales.Sony, one of the most active developers of the Blu-ray format, owns Columbia Pictures. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer gives its tacit support to Blu-ray disc, as only recently it has been purchased by a group led by Sony. With these going on, Blu-ray currently bets on 47% of the Hollywood's pre-recorded DVD market. That's slightly more than what the other competing format, HD DVD can count on, up to this moment: 45% coming with the support from Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Studios.Walt Disney was the last big player to make a decision and its announcement the beginning of this month, definitely split the new-format DVD market in two. However, Sony still has to hold its breath. Disney said it will join Blu-ray

Disc Association, and become part of the board of directors. But the Disney officials too, as the ones from the other film studios, agreed to nonexclusive deals. This means they are free to work with other DVD format developers too, if they prove more competitive.Bob Chapek, president of Disney™ Buena Vista Home Entertainment, also stated that they prefer avoiding a format battle that would only puzzle the consumer.[disney world fun]

Ultimately, he said our hope is the format developers themselves can find a way to unify so the next generation product is not complicated by multiple format launches.

Is Disney Just For Kids ?

Is Disney Just For Kids ? [disney kid world]
By Chris Neilson, Thu Dec 8th

Disney is great for anyone and for all ages, whether you're atoddler or an old wrinkly !!! (I refuse to say which category Ipersonally fall into, although it's rapidly edging towards thelatter !).

But I digress...

Undoubtedly it is every kids dream to visit Disney World® inFlorida. And why not ? It is the best known theme park in theworld, and according to Disney themselves "the most magicalplace on earth".

Now whilst this may seem like a sweeping statement, there is anastonishing amount of truth in it. Because what Disney have doneis to create a wonderland for all ages. [disney kid world]

Of course, you would expect the children to be drawn to thelarger than life characters who appear throughout the parks, andindeed there are ample opportunities for Meet & Greet sessionswith their favourites, but amazingly, adults too are drawn intothis world of glamour, fun and smiles, and as a result seeminglyshed their inhibitions and return to a childlike state of aweand wonder.

And even if you are of that rare breed that never shed theircool adult exterior, I defy any parent not to be moved watchingtheir children's faces the first time their eyes fall uponCinderella Castle at the heart of the Magic Kingdom. Indeed, Ihave heard many reports of mums and dads literally being movedto tears by the reaction of their children at Disney World®. Fora child, their

expectations and dreams are all contained withinthis magical place, and as Disney casts it's spell over them, they as kids, and you, as parents, will not be disappointed.

Within the vast acreage of Disney World® there is something foreveryone to enjoy. But the great thing about Disney is it'sability to bring families closer together, to interact with eachother, to share good times and create memories that will stay inyour heart forever.[disney kid world]

Walt's original dream of a "family" park is, without doubt, anunrivalled success, thanks to the dedication of thousands ofcast members who attend to your every need during your visit. You are made to feel special, wanted and appreciated all at thesame time, and let's face it, a little bit of pampering goes along, long way !

So my advice would be to take the kids, take the teenagers, takegrandma and grandpa, take auntie Ethel too... in fact takeanyone you like, because at the end of the day, each of you willexit a Disney park, feeling fulfilled, happy and uplifted. Andis it really "the most magical place on earth" ? As Mickeyhimself would say "You betcha !"

How Much Fight Is In You?

How Much Fight Is In You? [disney rich cruises]

HOW MUCH FIGHT IS IN YOU?

*** "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles andobstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it whenit happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in theworld for you. " - Walt Disney

Walt Disney, who often struggled just to feed himself, had todeclare bankruptcy in 1920. In 1923, he made his way toHollywood with just $40 in his pocket. $40 and a sketchbook!

In 1928 Walt and a few friends, by the names Mickey and Minnie, took the world by storm in "Steamboat Willie". Unsuspectingmovie viewers were witnessing the birth of a legend! The rest ismost definitely Entertainment History.

Can you imagine the flack Walt Disney must have caught when, penniless, he'd sit in the corner sketching?! No doubt he wascalled everything from a dreamer to a loser. Fortunately, heknew that it's not the name they call

you that matters. It's thename you answer to that counts.

*** "If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember thatthis whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse." - WaltDisney

The creator of an absolute empire was knocked down more thanonce, but he came out a winner because he never stayed down.[disney rich cruises]

How about you?

How much fight is in you? Has life knocked you around - maybeeven knocked you down? Are you on the ground, cowering in thecorner, or are you up fighting back with all that's in you?

The fight isn't over until someone's knocked out or gives up.Instead of throwing in the towel, use it to slap life on thebutt with a resounding snap!

*** "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney

Go do something impossible!

Disney Land And Disney World

Disney Land And Disney World [disney world land]
By Sandy Baker, Fri Dec 9th

The big dream of most young children is to go to Disney Land orDisney World. This vacation, though, can cost you an arm and aleg! How do you keep it affordable and please the kids? Thereare several things you can do to limit your costs and enjoy agreat Disney vacation.

First, know your budget. Know what is the most you can spend. Many people often rack up large debts from a trip to Disney andthat is just not wise. So, knowing what you can and can’t affordis the most important factor.[disney world land]

Then, you can start considering the large expenses for yourDisney vacation. Begin with how you will get there as that isone of the most expensive parts of your Disney Land or DisneyWorld vacation. Flying is most likely the means oftransportation that you will have to utilize. But, is it morecost effective to drive? Even if it does take eight or morehours, it may be a great way of cutting costs. Also, flying atodd times of the day and week can help to lower this cost.

So, you’re there, now what? Accommodations are often the nextmajor cost in a Disney Vacation. Cut down on this by not

stayingat the location itself, but maybe a few miles out. Another wayis to book your Disney Land or Disney World vacation at off peaktimes not during peak parts of the year for visitors. Forexample, traveling in the summer or during spring break is oftenthe most crowded allowing hotels to charge more since lodging isharder to fine. Cutting down on meals is next. Perhaps you cancut down on breakfast by bringing cold cereal and milk to yourhotel room?

Or, pack a sack lunch for while you visit the Disney resort. Cutdown on the amount of drinks you buy by purchasing a waterbottle and then refilling it at the water fountains. There aremany such things you can do to cut your expenses. You can do thesame thing with snacks.

Okay, so planning your Disney Land or Disney World vacation mayseem like a bigger hassle, but it really is worth the extraeffort. Cutting a few dollars here and there will put more moneyin your pocket for extra attractions or that special toy toremember the trip. Try utilizing websites likehttp://www.e-travelpromos.com to help you plan the trip toDisney World and Disney Land.[disney world land]

Baby Clothes By Disney

Baby Clothes By Disney [disney baby cartoon]
By Kirsten Hawkins, Fri Dec 9th

Disney and children go together like milk and crackers. Its justa given that in almost any American household where childrenreside there is something in the home that was made by, producedby, licensed by, or endorsed by Disney.

Because of this natural affinity that Disney and kids seem tohave, the Disney Corporation has been making clothing forchildren for nearly as long as they’ve been in business. Thisform of licensing and merchandising took off to new levels whenGeorge Lucas proved that there was money in movie licensingtie-ins with Star Wars in 1977. Today when a Disney movie isreleased there are kids’ and babies’ clothing items bearing thelikenesses of the main characters faster than a parent can sayBambi. While some Disney titles are hit or miss these days(compare the numbers for Home on the Range with those forFinding Nemo) there are titles that seemed to strike a chordwith kids and parents alike and the company still sells massiveamounts of children’s, toddlers’, and babies’ clothing relatedto those films.[disney baby cartoon]

The Little Mermaid

Even sixteen years after its release, kids and parents stilllove The Little Mermaid. Every little girl wants to be Arial(the titular mermaid) and their mothers don’t mind helping them.Disney still sells t-shirts, swimsuits, and various otherclothing items for

babies and children with the film’s motifs indroves.

Finding Nemo

One of Disney’s most popular recent releases, Finding Nemooffers massive amounts of babies’ clothing designs. LikeMermaid, the film’s aquatic theme lends itself especially wellto swimwear and summer wear for boys and girls alike. In fact, the first item listed when you enter the “infants” page onDisney Direct, the company’s web store, is a Finding Nemoone-piece swimsuit for girls.

Classic Characters

The more things change, the more they stay the same someone oncesaid and he may have been on to something. Of all the Disneythemed apparel for babies and toddlers, no items are morepopular with the kids or their parents than those that bear theimages of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, andthe lovable dog Pluto. These are baby clothing items that areunlikely to ever disappear and which are so popular that a childthrowing a foam brick in the daycare center is likely to hit atleast one kid with Mickey stenciled or printed somewhere on hisor her clothing. Suffice to say that when you’re choosing casualclothing for your little Mickey or Minnie Mouse, you can’t gowrong with designs by Disney.
