A Guide To Taking Your Dream Disney Cruise!

A Guide To Taking Your Dream Disney Cruise! [disney world dream]
Experiencing the magic of Disney at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort
Paris is something that is rarely forgotten as a child or as an adult. With a Disney cruise, you can
now recapture that magic on board one of Disney's elite cruise ships.

There are several exotic Caribbean cruise routes to choose from, and with a spread of onboard entertainment
for all the family it is a cruise that will live long in the memory of the young and the young at heart.

All Disney cruises depart from Port Canaveral in Florida through Disney Cruise Lines, and take
guests out on a voyage of the Caribbean. Short 3-night cruises are catered for as well as 7 night
cruises that encompass a larger number of ports around the Western Caribbean and Eastern Caribbean.

A typical three or four night Disney cruise takes guests out into the Bahamas, and includes a visit to
the sun-drenched beaches of Nassau. Shore excursions include a magical tour to the Discover Atlantis
attraction, which is home to more than 120,000 fish.
[disney world dream]

A 7-night Western Caribbean Disney cruise adds Key West, Grand Cayman and the island of Cozumel
near Mexico to the list of port stops.

At each location a huge variety of shore excursions are offered for
both adults and kids.

On a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Disney cruise, the Bahamas, and the islands of St Maarten

and St Thomas
are incorporated into the itinerary. Again, just as with the Western Caribbean Disney cruise you will
have a choice of many excellent excursion options too. But, no matter which cruise route you choose
there is one common port of call - Castaway Island.

Castaway Island is Disney's own private island. It is located near the island of Abacco at the northern
end of the Bahamas, and is a true Never Land.

Here you can explore paradise - secluded white sandy [disney world dream]
beaches, warm shallow waters and coconut-laden palm tree groves await, along with a whole host of
exciting activities.

You can try your hand at snorkeling while on the island, or go on a kayak nature adventure. The glass-bottomed
boat tour is sure worth an hour and a half of your time on the island too.

Of course, as you would expect from a corporation like Disney, sumptuous catering is on offer on the
island and on board the cruise vessel at all times. Days at sea are a pleasure too with so many activities
to keep adults and kids entertained for weeks!

And, when you're done watching one of Disney's original stage shows, taking your kids to meet Snow White or
enjoying a spot of wine tasting (adults only!), you can kick back in the luxurious surroundings of your cabin
or relax on the pool deck and soak up some glorious Caribbean sunshine....

Comcast Hostile Takeover Bid Is Deja Vu For Former Disney Executive Turned Author

Comcast Hostile Takeover Bid Is Deja Vu For Former Disney Executive Turned Author [disney world fun]
Orlando, FA (ContentDesk) February 17, 2004--In his writer's den in Central Florida, Larry Pontius is shaking his head. As a former Disney marketing executive and author of the award winning speculative thriller, Waking Walt, he can't help but smile. After six years writing the book and another three fighting to get it published in the face of agent and publisher concerns over possible Disney legal action, his phone is ringing off the hook. It's the media calling.Reporters and producers from television stations, cable news networks newspapers, and major business magazines in the US as well as the UK have requested copies of Waking Walt."Someone jokingly asked me if I was Nostradamus," Pontius said. "But I was as surprised as anyone when Comcast announced their takeover bid for Disney.
[disney world fun]

For me, it's fiction turning into fact. Of course, I'm sure the motives are different from those in my novel. And the ending will have to be, although I wish it didn't."In Waking Walt, Pontius brings to life one of our most enduring legends: Walt Disney never died, but is somewhere out there in cryonic suspension waiting to come back when his lung cancer can be cured. And as the title suggests, in the Pontius thriller Walt is awakened in a desperate attempt to save his company

from a ruthless corporate raider bent on tearing it apart. In the process of promoting Waking Walt, months before the Comcast situation, Pontius became a contributing columnist on several Disney related Internet sites including the popular Jim Hill Media.com, Mickey News.com and Magical Mountain.net. His column "What Would Walt Think?" has often skewered the Disney Company for failings that many analysts are now saying led to the vulnerability which encouraged Comcast to launch its takeover bid.Interviewed by a reporter from the Orlando ABC Television affiliate, WFTV-TV, Pontius was asked what his primary concern was should Comcast succeed in their bid for Disney.[disney world fun]

"I worry about losing the Disney legacy" Pontius said. "The creative excellence and adherence to a set of values that has made Disney the greatest family entertainment company in the world. If Comcast buys Disney and turns it into something else, the world has lost something special. That would be a bad investment."Waking Walt can be purchased online from Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Booksamillion.com, and is available at virtually any bookstore. Walt Disney Announced To Support The Blu-ray Disc Format

Walt Disney Announced To Support The Blu-ray Disc Format [disney world fun]
The beginning of this December, the major film company Walt Disney announced its intention to start releasing movies and other content on Blu-ray discs in North America, as soon as the new-format players become available there.Walt Disney has a market share of 17.2 of Hollywood's prepackaged DVD sales.Sony, one of the most active developers of the Blu-ray format, owns Columbia Pictures. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer gives its tacit support to Blu-ray disc, as only recently it has been purchased by a group led by Sony. With these going on, Blu-ray currently bets on 47% of the Hollywood's pre-recorded DVD market. That's slightly more than what the other competing format, HD DVD can count on, up to this moment: 45% coming with the support from Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Studios.Walt Disney was the last big player to make a decision and its announcement the beginning of this month, definitely split the new-format DVD market in two. However, Sony still has to hold its breath. Disney said it will join Blu-ray

Disc Association, and become part of the board of directors. But the Disney officials too, as the ones from the other film studios, agreed to nonexclusive deals. This means they are free to work with other DVD format developers too, if they prove more competitive.Bob Chapek, president of Disney™ Buena Vista Home Entertainment, also stated that they prefer avoiding a format battle that would only puzzle the consumer.[disney world fun]

Ultimately, he said our hope is the format developers themselves can find a way to unify so the next generation product is not complicated by multiple format launches.

Is Disney Just For Kids ?

Is Disney Just For Kids ? [disney kid world]
By Chris Neilson, Thu Dec 8th

Disney is great for anyone and for all ages, whether you're atoddler or an old wrinkly !!! (I refuse to say which category Ipersonally fall into, although it's rapidly edging towards thelatter !).

But I digress...

Undoubtedly it is every kids dream to visit Disney World® inFlorida. And why not ? It is the best known theme park in theworld, and according to Disney themselves "the most magicalplace on earth".

Now whilst this may seem like a sweeping statement, there is anastonishing amount of truth in it. Because what Disney have doneis to create a wonderland for all ages. [disney kid world]

Of course, you would expect the children to be drawn to thelarger than life characters who appear throughout the parks, andindeed there are ample opportunities for Meet & Greet sessionswith their favourites, but amazingly, adults too are drawn intothis world of glamour, fun and smiles, and as a result seeminglyshed their inhibitions and return to a childlike state of aweand wonder.

And even if you are of that rare breed that never shed theircool adult exterior, I defy any parent not to be moved watchingtheir children's faces the first time their eyes fall uponCinderella Castle at the heart of the Magic Kingdom. Indeed, Ihave heard many reports of mums and dads literally being movedto tears by the reaction of their children at Disney World®. Fora child, their

expectations and dreams are all contained withinthis magical place, and as Disney casts it's spell over them, they as kids, and you, as parents, will not be disappointed.

Within the vast acreage of Disney World® there is something foreveryone to enjoy. But the great thing about Disney is it'sability to bring families closer together, to interact with eachother, to share good times and create memories that will stay inyour heart forever.[disney kid world]

Walt's original dream of a "family" park is, without doubt, anunrivalled success, thanks to the dedication of thousands ofcast members who attend to your every need during your visit. You are made to feel special, wanted and appreciated all at thesame time, and let's face it, a little bit of pampering goes along, long way !

So my advice would be to take the kids, take the teenagers, takegrandma and grandpa, take auntie Ethel too... in fact takeanyone you like, because at the end of the day, each of you willexit a Disney park, feeling fulfilled, happy and uplifted. Andis it really "the most magical place on earth" ? As Mickeyhimself would say "You betcha !"

How Much Fight Is In You?

HOW MUCH FIGHT IS IN YOU?

*** "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles andobstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it whenit happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in theworld for you. " - Walt Disney

Walt Disney, who often struggled just to feed himself, had todeclare bankruptcy in 1920. In 1923, he made his way toHollywood with just $40 in his pocket. $40 and a sketchbook!

In 1928 Walt and a few friends, by the names Mickey and Minnie, took the world by storm in "Steamboat Willie". Unsuspectingmovie viewers were witnessing the birth of a legend! The rest ismost definitely Entertainment History.

Can you imagine the flack Walt Disney must have caught when, penniless, he'd sit in the corner sketching?! No doubt he wascalled everything from a dreamer to a loser. Fortunately, heknew that it's not the name they call

you that matters. It's thename you answer to that counts.

*** "If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember thatthis whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse." - WaltDisney

The creator of an absolute empire was knocked down more thanonce, but he came out a winner because he never stayed down.[disney rich cruises]

How about you?

How much fight is in you? Has life knocked you around - maybeeven knocked you down? Are you on the ground, cowering in thecorner, or are you up fighting back with all that's in you?

The fight isn't over until someone's knocked out or gives up.Instead of throwing in the towel, use it to slap life on thebutt with a resounding snap!

*** "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney

Go do something impossible!

Disney Land And Disney World

Disney Land And Disney World [disney world land]
By Sandy Baker, Fri Dec 9th

The big dream of most young children is to go to Disney Land orDisney World. This vacation, though, can cost you an arm and aleg! How do you keep it affordable and please the kids? Thereare several things you can do to limit your costs and enjoy agreat Disney vacation.

First, know your budget. Know what is the most you can spend. Many people often rack up large debts from a trip to Disney andthat is just not wise. So, knowing what you can and can’t affordis the most important factor.[disney world land]

Then, you can start considering the large expenses for yourDisney vacation. Begin with how you will get there as that isone of the most expensive parts of your Disney Land or DisneyWorld vacation. Flying is most likely the means oftransportation that you will have to utilize. But, is it morecost effective to drive? Even if it does take eight or morehours, it may be a great way of cutting costs. Also, flying atodd times of the day and week can help to lower this cost.

So, you’re there, now what? Accommodations are often the nextmajor cost in a Disney Vacation. Cut down on this by not

stayingat the location itself, but maybe a few miles out. Another wayis to book your Disney Land or Disney World vacation at off peaktimes not during peak parts of the year for visitors. Forexample, traveling in the summer or during spring break is oftenthe most crowded allowing hotels to charge more since lodging isharder to fine. Cutting down on meals is next. Perhaps you cancut down on breakfast by bringing cold cereal and milk to yourhotel room?

Or, pack a sack lunch for while you visit the Disney resort. Cutdown on the amount of drinks you buy by purchasing a waterbottle and then refilling it at the water fountains. There aremany such things you can do to cut your expenses. You can do thesame thing with snacks.

Okay, so planning your Disney Land or Disney World vacation mayseem like a bigger hassle, but it really is worth the extraeffort. Cutting a few dollars here and there will put more moneyin your pocket for extra attractions or that special toy toremember the trip. Try utilizing websites likehttp://www.e-travelpromos.com to help you plan the trip toDisney World and Disney Land.[disney world land]

Baby Clothes By Disney

Baby Clothes By Disney [disney baby cartoon]
By Kirsten Hawkins, Fri Dec 9th

Disney and children go together like milk and crackers. Its justa given that in almost any American household where childrenreside there is something in the home that was made by, producedby, licensed by, or endorsed by Disney.

Because of this natural affinity that Disney and kids seem tohave, the Disney Corporation has been making clothing forchildren for nearly as long as they’ve been in business. Thisform of licensing and merchandising took off to new levels whenGeorge Lucas proved that there was money in movie licensingtie-ins with Star Wars in 1977. Today when a Disney movie isreleased there are kids’ and babies’ clothing items bearing thelikenesses of the main characters faster than a parent can sayBambi. While some Disney titles are hit or miss these days(compare the numbers for Home on the Range with those forFinding Nemo) there are titles that seemed to strike a chordwith kids and parents alike and the company still sells massiveamounts of children’s, toddlers’, and babies’ clothing relatedto those films.[disney baby cartoon]

The Little Mermaid

Even sixteen years after its release, kids and parents stilllove The Little Mermaid. Every little girl wants to be Arial(the titular mermaid) and their mothers don’t mind helping them.Disney still sells t-shirts, swimsuits, and various otherclothing items for

babies and children with the film’s motifs indroves.

Finding Nemo

One of Disney’s most popular recent releases, Finding Nemooffers massive amounts of babies’ clothing designs. LikeMermaid, the film’s aquatic theme lends itself especially wellto swimwear and summer wear for boys and girls alike. In fact, the first item listed when you enter the “infants” page onDisney Direct, the company’s web store, is a Finding Nemoone-piece swimsuit for girls.

Classic Characters

The more things change, the more they stay the same someone oncesaid and he may have been on to something. Of all the Disneythemed apparel for babies and toddlers, no items are morepopular with the kids or their parents than those that bear theimages of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, andthe lovable dog Pluto. These are baby clothing items that areunlikely to ever disappear and which are so popular that a childthrowing a foam brick in the daycare center is likely to hit atleast one kid with Mickey stenciled or printed somewhere on hisor her clothing. Suffice to say that when you’re choosing casualclothing for your little Mickey or Minnie Mouse, you can’t gowrong with designs by Disney.

Disney & Pixar - Can Pixar Wag The Dog?

Disney & Pixar - Can Pixar Wag The Dog? [disney pixar cartoon]
By Toli Cefail, Sat Dec 10th

Anyone who has ever been in a position of power will tell youthat those who are not always think they can “wag the dog”.

For those of you who don’t know what the term “wag the dog”means here’s a definition. A dog has a tail. The dog, being theruler of the dog body, wags its tail. You see the tail which maydistract from the dog since it is the tail that is moving. It’salso apparent that the tail is important. After all, it’sputting on a show.

However, the tail is still part of (and subservient to) the dog.It is totally foolish for the tail to think that it can wag thedog. So the dog needs the tail to put on the show but withoutthe dog, the tail wouldn’t exist at all. [disney pixar cartoon]

Would the dog die without the tail? No. But many times “tails”get overly caught up in their show. They forget what their powerdepends on. They forget where they came from. They think thatthey can wag the dog. And so it is with Pixar.

I love Pixar. I love Disney.

Pixar needs to take serious heed to their position. The Disneymarketing machine is perhaps the most formidable entertainmentmarketing machine to ever exist. As a veteran and naturalmarketer, I routinely marvel at its power and comprehensiveness. It is truly a thing of beauty. An ideal example to any marketerno matter how experienced.

Now you may be familiar with the expression “If you build abetter mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door.” Asone who markets and sells many products I can tell you thatstatement is completely false.

People care more about your marketing and your delivery systemthan the quality of your product. Don’t believe me? Check thisout then.

Think of the best hamburger you have ever had in your life. Nowask yourself if it was better than a McDonald’s hamburger. I’llbet you it was.

Now ask yourself if the place you had that great hamburger sellsmore hamburgers than McDonald’s. I’ll bet you they don’t.

So why does McDonald’s sell more hamburgers than a thousandplaces that make a better hamburger? Answer: they have amarketing and delivery machine second to none.

And so does Disney.[disney pixar cartoon]

Consider the Disney machine if you’re not familiar

with it:

Television – The Disney Channel (1 & 2); ESPN; ABC; Toon Disney;Radio Disney – nationwide radio network Theme Parks – DisneyWorld; Disneyland; Disneyland Paris; Disneyland Tokyo; DisneyCruise Line The Disney Store – chain in every major mall in theUS and the world

Every product or event that Disney wants to promote isdisseminated continually throughout this entire network with noholes barred.

And all these Disney marketing machine parts have the Disneybrand, known, loved & followed by billions around the world.

So Mr. Jobs, put your pride & greed aside and consider what youwould really be giving up if you left Disney. If you need moreammunition for your stockholders note the following:

Even the mighty Steven Spielberg, David Geffen & former Disneychief Jeffery Katzenberg have not been able to beat the Disneymachine. This despite the fact that Steven Spielberg is perhapsone of the greatest creative talents to ever walk the face ofthe earth and has a genuine Midas touch with films. Even withthis superior talent, the SKG combo has not been able to beatthe Disney machine.

And let’s not forget the tanking of the Antz and Chicken Runmovies, their spectacular casts notwithstanding (Mel Gibson,Jennifer Lopez, Sharon Stone, Danny Glover). Plus theirmerchandising (area of great and essential profits) performedeven worse.

So to all our readers out there, don’t ever make the mistake ofthinking that because your product is great, you’ll sell tonsand be a marketing success. The key to success is having acomprehensive marketing machine and a consistent deliverymachine. These parts need to work cohesively and cover as manyavenues as possible.

And for those of you who have a strong partner, owner or thelike, don’t try to wag the dog.

By Mike Dougherty, Sat Dec 10th

Walt Disney's feature length animated movie Cinderella wasoriginally released in 1950.

Ilene Woods provided the voice of Cinderella and Eleanor Audleyvoiced the wicked stepmother. And by the way, Eleanor Audley cannow be heard as the voice of Madam Leota in the HauntedMansion ride at Disneyland and Disney world.

The year Cinderella was released it received an Oscar nominationfor best musical score including the catchy song "BibbidiBobbidi Boo."[dvd disney cinderella]

The story of Cinderella holds up very well, even by today'sstandards.

Cinderella lives under the constant cruelty of her unsympatheticstepmother who treats her like a slave. And to make mattersworse, Cinderella is constantly teased and tormented by her twostepsisters.

But through it all, Cinderella maintains a kind and loving heartwhich she generously shares with the local birds and animalswhile she dreams of a better life for herself.

Then with the magical help of her fairy Godmother, Cinderella'slife begins to change dramatically.

With a wave of her magic wand, the fairy godmothertransforms Cinderella into a vision of beauty

and sends her onher way to the Royal Ball where she meets and falls in love withthe handsome Prince.

But as the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella seems condemned toa life as a slave to her cruel stepmother.

Then, just when all seems lost, with the help of a very specialglass slipper, Cinderella meets the Prince once again. The two are married and live happily ever after.[dvd disney cinderella]

Today, the magic of Cinderella lives on.

The Cinderella castle still stands as a shinning centerpiece atboth Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida.

And now, Walt Disney's original Cinderella has been released forthe first time ever as a very special edition DVD.

This is a dream come true for collectors. And this specialrelease gives everyone that grew up with the Cinderella storythe opportunity to rediscover this truly classic movie.

And now our children and grandchildren can discover the magic ofCinderella for the first time.

Some things never change and thankfully Walt Disney's Cinderellais one of them.

Be The Brand!

Be The Brand! [disney travel world]
By Paula Morrow, Sat Dec 10th

Quick - what do you think of when you think of Nike? The swoopsymbol, right? Disney: Mickey Mouse, Disney Land/Disney Worldand Cinderella's Castle.

Now, think Corey Rudl...the Internet Marketing Center; KenEvoy...Make My ___ Sell products; Allan Gardyne... associateprograms.

These are much more than products... these are brands and brandidentities.

Have you thought about how you will brand yourself through yourbusiness?

Now, a lot of the experts emphasize the importance of yourunique selling proposition (USP) in the equation. Granted, USPis a key element in building your brand.

But it's not the total picture.[disney travel world]

If Nike had concentrated its corporate philosophy on onlyproducing a top-quality running shoe, how different do you thinkthe company would be today?

As we all are know, Nike is much more than a shoe company. It'sa sports brand: a sports promoter, a shoe and clothing company,a retail store. It closely identifies its brand with winnersfrom the world of sports (Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, forexample).

Their goal - for you to feel that by using Nike products you toocan succeed. Or at least look like your heroes. The Walt DisneyCompany is famous (infamous really) for its religious zeal inenforcing it's clean, wholesome, family image.

Having grown up outside Disney World in Florida, I saw firsthandthe steps that Disney took to enforce their strict standards(appearance, customer service, etc.), the real-world tests theyput their employees through. And the payoff? Billions.

Everything is planned to protect the branding of the Walt DisneyCompany as a fun, safe, family-oriented organization.

No

surprises.

Now, I'm not saying that you have to go to the extent of aDisney or a Nike, but you should put serious thought into theimpression you're trying to make.

Does everything flow from your USP? From the look and feel ofyour web site, your business cards to your ads - are youbuilding your brand?[disney travel world]

Ask yourself these questions:

What does your company stand for?

What do you want to be known for?

What is your company philosophy?

Does everyone that work with/for you understand their role inbuilding the brand or image of the company?

When someone says the name of your business, what image, feelingdo you want to come to mind?

These are questions you need to address when you first startyour business. Since everything builds on these principles.

What do you want to stand for?

Will you be the king/queen of the newbies? Will you be the bestin associate programs, and vie with Allan Gardyne? Will you beknown for software development?

What are your short and long-term plans to make this a reality?

Only after you determine what you want to accomplish, will yoube able to effectively choose the right marketing plan toexecute.

Once you've a plan in place, you'll have a firm grasp on how toproceed. Once you're clear, you'll find that your advertisingand marketing becomes more effective.

And your customers, with a clear understanding of the companythey're dealing with - will act in the desired manner - byresponding with sales!

Traveling To Disney World

Traveling To Disney World [travel disney world]
By Jay Bauder, Mon Dec 26th

Disney World Traveling

Disney World is probably the most popular theme park in theworld, attractions, rides, characters, the works, there is nodoubt that nobody goes to Disney World to get headaches. Toprevent unnecessary muscle and head pain, it is best to beprepared.

Proper Season

It is best to go to Disney World during off season, which isroughly around early January to mid February, or after Labor Daythrough mid December. During off season, there are less people, less congestion and less headaches. What's more, it rarely getscold in Florida, even during winter season, and it getsswelteringly hot and humid during summer, so winter, really isthe time to go.[travel disney world]

The Proper Lodgings

Although it is cheaper to stay in hotels outside of DisneyWorld, the extra cash you'll have to cough up if you stay insideis more than made up for by the comfort and convenience of aninside stay.

Choosing Films for Your Child

Choosing Films for Your Child [disney child film]

Is the regular trip to the neighborhood video store or the downtown multiplex with your child starting to feel like an exercise in parental perplexity? If so, then there is no need to blame yourself. Combined with family-oriented classics, straight-to-video releases and children’s documentaries released by niche production companies, the sheer volume of movies aimed at young audiences is enough to make Mom and Dad long for the good old days of 1960s-era Walt Disney features about animals, princes and paupers, and fairy godmothers. Fortunately, quality children’s films are not limited to movies that star Mickey Mouse or Peter Pan. In fact, there are many children’s movies that not only entertain, but also impart the right values and paint an accurate picture of the world in which we live. The following guide can help you decide which movies are appropriate for your child. [disney child film]

Check the rating or classification. The ratings system used by the Motion Picture Association of America classifies movies based on the amount of violence, sex, nudity, strong language, and drug use your children will see or hear. Ratings offer advance information about movies so that parents can decide what films they want their children to see. However, do not rely on ratings alone to determine whether or not a movie is suitable for your child. Movie reviews in family-friendly publications can be a reliable source of information about film content. When in doubt, watch the movie yourself before taking your child to see it.

Movies must be age-appropriate. Children of different age groups and developmental stages do not respond similarly to visual content. A PG-rated movie may affect a seven-year-old differently than it would a 13-year-old. Make sure that the movie deals with a subject matter that your child is old enough to comprehend. For instance, a movie that discourages violence does not have to be gory or very frightening. Good children’s movies tackle sensitive issues and themes from a child’s point of view, while enhancing the child’s understanding and experience.

Choose movies that present truth and diversity. Movies should expand your child’s horizons and increase their awareness of how people live, relate, and solve problems. Movies with accurate representations of diverse groups of people can provide truthful insights on the different ways that people go about their daily lives. Is the stepmother depicted as a devious, scheming grouch? Does the movie make fun of people with disabilities? Avoid films that reinforce negative stereotypes or make a mockery of diversity. [disney child film]

Examine the kind of values that the movie teaches. Based on film reviews and your own experience of watching the movie, can you identify what values the movie seeks to impart to its young audiences? Good family movies should teach children the importance of honesty, respect, charity, tolerance, and hard work. Does the movie condemn violence as a means to resolve conflicts, or does it glorify crime as an acceptable route to fame and fortune? Quality children’s movies must truthfully show the consequences of the characters’ actions and decisions.

Sports Enhancement Through Hypnosis: Get Your Head in the Game!

Sports Enhancement Through Hypnosis: Get Your Head in the Game! [game disney sport]

“Get your head in the game!” is a now trendy slogan made popular by Disney’s highly successful “High School Musical” movie. When it comes to playing sports, for fun or professionally, pure talent no longer is a guarantee of sports stardom and success. Focus is the key, and those that have the skills for the game and the focus to keep their head in it, will come out stars.

One such believer may be heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. As a young, up and coming fighter, Mr. Tyson used sports hypnosis to become the heavyweight champion of the world. He certainly had the skills to be a fighter, but many believe it was his drive and focus that made him a champion. If you studied any of his early bouts, you would see the determination and concentration he had. Many sports stars use hypnosis, especially when they need to get out of a slump. But waiting until you are in a slump may not be the best choice. More than a few medallists in both Olympic games have successfully used sports hypnosis to keep their focus and attention on the prize; they do not get second chances! Sports hypnosis has become so popular, that hypnotists have been hired by entire Olympic teams to make sure they bring home the gold.

Hypnosis works for enhancing your game, no matter what the sport. Is it a miracle worker? Will it take a person who can’t throw a baseball more than 20 miles per hour and 15 feet into a baseball star? No, absolutely not. Obviously, you need the skills before hypnosis can work its wonders. However, it can take a mediocre player and make him or her good or possibly great with practice. [game disney sport]

How does hypnosis work and what happens during a session? The answer for that question really depends on the hypnotist or psychologist that works with you. There are many techniques and theories and can vary dramatically. Some techniques are as simple as visualization. Imagine you are a basketball player and you need to practice free throws. When you practice, you make the shots sometimes, but also miss many times. So you are practicing to miss, not practicing to make it. Of course one needs to practice but visualizing you making the shot every time builds confidence and esteem. It also sets the mind in motion to know what it needs to do. It has been proven that this type of visualization technique increases shot percentage. Try it yourself if you can. Stand on the foul line and take some shots counting your baskets and misses. Then close your eyes and go through the motions of making the shot (but do not actually shoot, don’t even hold the ball). Feel the motion of your arms, go through the shot and visualize, actually see the ball go in the basket. Do this numerous times until you feel you have the motion down. Then open your eyes, take the ball, relax, and take a deep breath and shoot. Take the same number of shots as before relaxing prior each shot. Remember to keep track of your hits and misses. You should see a vast improvement. This can work with most any sport, for example, gymnasts should visualize their complete routine, over and over in their minds, never missing, always landing each move perfectly.

Again, there are many techniques and the example above was a simple one using pure visualization and did not include hypnosis. This alone as part of a sports psychology session can be helpful and learning to do these techniques on your own is invaluable. But to get the full potential, hypnosis can intensify the effects of the visualization. Do not be afraid of hypnosis. Be assured that you will not act like a chicken (unless of course you don’t mind, your sport is dancing, and your routine is the chicken dance) and you will not do anything you are not willing to do. Yes, one should always check the references of whomever you choose to work with and make sure you feel comfortable with the person. [game disney sport]

So, whatever your sport, goal, or hobby; use hypnosis to increase your potential and get your head in the game.

Selling Children's Items on Ebay

Selling Children's Items on Ebay [ebay children disney]

Selling for a profit on eBay is easy when you have kids. People are earning hundreds of dollars a month by selling kid related items. Here are some general ideas to help you get started.

Kids Items You Can Sell

Clothes, toys and videos are good money makers on eBay.

Go to eBay and look up a "lot" of size six girl's cloths. You will find they are expensive! The average price for a lot of 20 good conditioned clothes is about $35.00.

When your kids grow out of their seasonal clothes do not throw them out. Bundle them into different lots by category. For example bundle girls dresses separate from girls play clothes, but only do that if you have at least six of each different type.

Lots of any item sell better than single items unless the item is unique or high priced. For example, a hand embroidered dress that you paid a lot for would sell better by itself instead of bundled with other basic dresses. [ebay children disney]

The next item to lookup on eBay is toys. Most toys in good condition will sell for a lot of money. One idea that works well is to buy hot items in October at Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us and sell them on eBay. Busy people are willing to pay extra for the convenience of getting the items delivered to their home. For example, last year a Mega Power Ranger came out in stores around October and sold at Wal-Mart for about $45.00. The same item sold on eBay for up to $65.00 plus shipping. The Yellow Power Ranger is yet another example where the store price was about $6.00, while the same item was selling on eBay for about $20.00.

Have your children ever received duplicate birthday or Christmas presents? You can sell those on eBay also. Look at the eBay listings for items of interest to see if selling on eBay is worth more than returning the item to the store.

Kid's videos and DVDs are also good money-makers. Bundle about three of these together, and you can usually make about $7.00-$12.00 per bundle. Bundle more and the money goes up. Disney movies in hard cases can go for a higher amount. This also works for other types of movies as well.

Save those McDonalds toys. Some Kids Meals toys sell high. Take the new Star Wars toys from Burger King...very collectible. You will find them selling on eBay from $1.00 to $5.00, not including shipping. [ebay children disney]

Ebay has a whole section devoted to dolls and bears. If your daughter doesn't want her collectible dolls anymore sell them on eBay.

Kids Crafts You Can Sell

Around the holidays, especially, have your children place their hand in paint and make a print on some quality paper. Add a holiday related poem and you have a great craft to sell on eBay.

Have your kids make gift jars with ready made mixes. For example, hot chocolate mixes in a jar with a plastic spoon tied to it with a ribbon. Dip the end of the spoon with white chocolate.

Baby Items You Can Sell

Used baby items are very profitable. Baby items cost a lot of money, especially in their first year. Any "gently" used items are generally good sellers on eBay.

If you have baby coupons that you will never use, sell them on eBay! Left over diapers and formula sell well also. A lot of 35 used cloth diapers usually sells for around $38.00 plus shipping. Four Fuzzi Bunz diapers (cloth diapers with hemp inserts) can sell for as much as $40.00.

There you have it. Plenty of ideas for selling those leftover kids items on eBay...and you can even make a nice profit while you are at it!
